If...I have to agree with sandy and with your post. If I feel vulnerable and know that the scale will bring me down...I avoid it. But sometimes I need a reality check and so I make myself step up. I try not to make it an enemy...more like an honest friend (I guess it's one I doing see very often though because I don't get on the scale very much). Thanks for the post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8497046846195067398.post-25083838700572247762012-02-01T14:03:06.807-08:002012-02-01T14:03:06.807-08:00Great post, Laurie! And, I'll admit to letting a little number ruin my day on occasion.Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06336230468548666134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8497046846195067398.post-3880589477733667692012-02-01T11:13:01.287-08:002012-02-01T11:13:01.287-08:00Serious kudos on the weight loss, Patty! Fantastic...Serious kudos on the weight loss, Patty! Fantastic. Sounds like you and the scale have a healthy relationship. For many women out there, that is not the case and the resulting negativity does nothing but harm. If you're someone who can take the ups and downs with a grain of salt, more power to you! Sounds like you've found the perfect tool to motivate you and keep you in check! Keep at it, woman!Lauriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08173540768520417799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8497046846195067398.post-88952579342460384002012-02-01T10:42:55.596-08:002012-02-01T10:42:55.596-08:00I don't really agree with all the pointers. I ...I don't really agree with all the pointers. I use a Withings scale that I not only use every morning (same time, no clothes) but it sends my weight immediately via wifi to my computer.... can't hide from it either! I used to weigh myself and never remember if that was up or down from the last time...

I feel I can keep on top of what's going on this way. I agree that sometimes I think I'm doing everything right and the weight doesn't say so - and I also know that going on vacation for a few days and eating out a lot means it will be up - but that's ok, because now I KNOW I can manage to get back to where I was. I am past the hormonal variations but for that you just have to allow yourself some leeway. I am happier and 40 lbs lighter and have low blood pressure again since I got this scale - giving credit to the scale, healthier eating plan, 110 lb dog I have to walk twice a day and other technology I use to track weight and health. For me LOTS of feedback is the key. How I feel doesn't necessarily tell the story.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14022934175214727848noreply@blogger.com
