The Little Things

My kids go gaga over Playmobil, and now after finding the set pictured (left), I do too. It's not just the obvious things that draw me in either, like the subtle writing on Mom's shirt or the red jogger I think every mom should have. What tops my list are the smiles on both Mom's and Baby's faces. That and the fact that my kids are fighting over who gets to play with it... Music to my ears!

I snatched up the two remaining figurines and will be giving one away here (my kids insisted on keeping one for themselves). Pretty great stocking stuffer for any kid on your list (the baby is even dressed in gender-neutral green!). Just add a comment below with your best stocking stuffer idea (or a small gift item for those of you who do not celebrate Christmas) and be sure to sign up to be a follower of my blog. I'll randomly select and announce the winner next Monday! Good luck and let's hear those ideas!

  1. Love this Playmobil Set! My girls would really enjoy it!! My favorite stocking stuffer (this year) are these jumbo foot long Tinkerbell pens that I found in the dollar bin at Michaels. Glad I stumbled across your blog!

  2. I love shopping for stocking stuffers for my family and I start doing it months in advance. One of my favorites things to buy is lottery tickets. Even though no one usually wins more than a few bucks, the excitement it brings as they scratch off the cards is worth the $1 they cost. For my toddlers this year I got new electric kids' toothbrushes, all natural fruit leather, and some little tchotchkes from the $1 section at Target including cute wooden blocks. I am so proud of all the training I've done with my (now 3 year old) twins in my double orange jogging stroller, I'd love to get this toy for them!

  3. usually we do little Matchbox cars for stocking stuffers, but I've realized that if they don't come from the movie Cars, they aren't getting played with. So this year, I'll probably try to find some dairy-free chocolate & a small unidentified toy for my older son. And some new crayons & a Hershey's bar for my younger son.

  4. This is awesome! My little guy loves playmobil and I know he would get a kick out of this one! As far as his stocking, so far this year it has a Mater/Lightning McQueen Spinning toothbrush and matching toothpaste, and Mater Pez candy. Guess I'm sending mixed messages with those, huh??? :)
